The choir is directed by Caroline Trutz.

Caroline studied singing in London with Janice Chapman, Pauline Tinsley and Paris with Pali Marinov.

She has performed many operatic roles including Queen of the Night, Mimi (Boheme), Donna Anna (Don Giovanni) in UK and France. She has given many recitals, mostly of Russian songs, around UK and France. She has performed on UK and French TV and national radio.

She teaches privately and at Nottingham University. Recent engagements include La Traviata with Opera de Bauge, Don Carlos with Opera Minima and Carmina Burana in Nottingham’s Albert Hall.

As well as conducting the Rutland Choral Society, she gives regular singing workshops in local primary schools.
